The Intern: The First Assignment

… and I had to work on a public holiday. While everyone was in their holiday mood, I had to endure the temptations of the bed and the rendangs for an interview session with a local indie band. Took up the whole afternoon in a shopping mall, while watching other shoppers walking around with their carefree mode.
I guess one thing that I found out during the first week of my job here is that everything regarding interviews, write-ups, the designs and so on are all compartmentalize into different departments and categories. We have the artist section that will produce the graphics, icons and illustrations needed for the article. And we have the photographers to help take the pictures for the interviews and stuff. I worked with a photographer for the first time for yesterday’s interview with the indie band, and it was fun! The whole interviewing process was fun and quite enjoyable indeed.
Anyways, it is still a public holiday and I am in the office… while everyone is still on his or her holiday. Not for the R.AGE team of course! We are all a bunch of hardworking people working on a public holiday… yeah. I can feel Sharmila’s wrath already for turning up to work on a public holiday.
