Meeting the Boys...now Men.

Hey guys..
I'm sure you've already heard about my Singapore escapade last weekend. Well, if you haven't...then you should totally follow us on Twitter.com/thestar_rage !!!
I was in Singapore to meet and greet and interview the Backstreet Boys, and now, before you yawn...I gotta tell you that they're not half bad actually.
The Boys, now men, used to be one of my favourite bands growing up, so it was kinda like special you know, meeting my teenage idols.
So, they were at Fairmont Hotel (which was teeming with celebrities!!) and I (as well as press and fans from as far as Dubai) got to listen to their songs from their latest album This Is Us.
To be fair...they don't sound bad and in fact, one might mistake them for a new band in the music scene. They have totally revamped their sound image and I don't know..people might actually like it. Well, I'm sure their die-hard fans would.
After the listening party was over, the Boys came out and the whole place went crazy. And since I knew I had the opportunity to interview them later, I didn't like 'terhegeh-hegeh' to meet them, if you know what I mean.
But I got pushed into the meet and greet session anyway...which is basically like, you walk in, shake hands with the Backstreet Boys, pose for a photograph and you're done! Lol..that was quick.

Well, I got to meet them (Nick and Brian) five hours later...and it was obvious that they were jet-lagged and already tired from the other interviews they'd been doing since morning. But they were funny and fun and co-operative nonetheless and the most important thing is that they were NOT boring.
All in all...I'm glad that Backstreet Boys finally got to meet ME, you know, simply because I am their fire..their one desire...and oh, they also know the shape of my heart. Lols!
