"Huh? 545am? YOU?!?!?"

I can't event count how many people had this reaction when I told them I'd be starting a new workout regime, which is 545-645am on tuesdays, thursdays and saturdays.

You see, among my friends, I'm famous for loving my sleep - to the point of telling my friends never to message me before 11am on weekends, an order which they dare not defy, lest they awaken the beast in me. I'm happy to have a job that requires me to be in the office around 930am, and that place of dwelling is a mere 10 minutes drive away.

I have built my life around comfort, so for me to announce to my friends that I would be paying people money to make me run around in a wet field at 545 in the morning (three times a week), doing countless amounts of push-ups, sit-ups, grunts, sack carrying and who knows what else is in store, they found it hard to believe.

Well believe it or not, I've gone four times so far.. and it's been awesome! Yes, my muscles ache so much I can't believe I've been able to roll out of bed and walk around.Yes, my car rugs are filled with bits of grass and mud that i have yet to wash off, and yes, I've sacrificed three days out of a week (and friday night partying) to make myself wake up in the wee hours of the morning hungry, sleepy, and knowing what I'lll be made to do in the next hour.

Everyone who gets involved in an intensive workout has goals, and mine is to lose weight and get back into shape! the girls I joined with (my housemate Nadine, her friend Cheryl and her friend Rubi) are already active exercisers and having them make me get up in the morning helps.

Yup, it's only been a week plus , and I have yet to see how the remaining two weeks unfold (I missed the first week so I only have 9 sessions). Keep checking to see how im doing!

Hooyah!  (bootcamp cheer thing we do after every workout)
