IF your life revolves around food, this one’s for you. R.AGE Food Fight is giving five lucky finalists the chance of a lifetime to spearhead their foodie career by offering masterclasses from the six top professionals in the industry – Chef Wan, French master chef Rodolphe Onno, Malaysian blogger KY Speaks, restaurateur Darren Chin, the Barista Guild Asia, and chef Liang.

The five finalists will also be receiving professional equipment from Le Cordon Bleu, plus lots of goodies from Pastry Pro, Aeroshield Sdn Bhd, and Miracle Home Centre.

All you have to do to join is submit a six-minute video of yourself presenting any recipe using palm oil as an ingredient; you must mention at least one benefit of palm oil. Then, write an accompanying blogpost to complement the video.

Contestants will be judged on their presentation skills, writing, food presentation and creativity by the five judges-slash-mentors.

The chosen five will then have a full-page profile of themselves plastered across R.AGE for all to see, before being pitted against each other in a cooking showdown at Le Cordon Bleu, where only one will emerge champion.

The grand prize winner will receive RM10,000, and the chance to write a food column in The Star and host his/her own food video series on rage.com.my. They will also get additional classes from Le Cordon Bleu and the Barista Guild Asia to plump up their arsenal of knowledge. Second and third place winners get RM3,000, and RM1,000 each respectively.

If this all sounds too good to be true, trust us it’s not! But time is running out – the deadline is Sept 27, so get cooking – fast! Those who have already submitted their videos can view them at rage.com.my/foodfight. You can also check out other contest details, full terms and conditions, and interviews with the judges on the website to get an idea of what they’re looking for in a finalist.

The sooner you submit, the sooner the judges get to have a look at your video and share it on their own social media sites. So chop chop!
