AT the end of this blogpost I’ll tell you how you can win the goodies but first, you’ll have to read about my personal shopping experience. hehe.
Denver has a lovely little room at the back of Topshop Midvalley Megamall, where the personal shopper service is available in Malaysia, and in it – rows of water bottles and a tray of cupcakes for customers. You can sit on a comfortable sofa and chat with him if you like, or with your friends and family if you bring them along.
Before my appointment, Denver sent me a list of questions to sort of get to know me better. He required the following: top and bottom size, my style icon (btw that’s Leighton Meester’s charactet Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl), whether I’m shopping for any specific occasion and what my budget for this shopping session was.
When I got to the store I was surprised that Denver had actually already picked out an entire rack of outfits for me – and he had thought of several ways to mix and match the pieces that were on the rack.His instincts were good – there were tons of sheer, lacy, girly pieces which I loved! And eventhough I’m not a fan of bold and bright colours he gave me useful advice on how to work the colours of the season while sticking to my own personal style.
It was a fun two hours – I tried on heaps of garments and whenever I needed a different size Denver’s assistant would run out and get it for me (except when the garment was from another outlet – yes he went all over KL looking for stuff for me.. aww).
At the end of the session I walked out with three items – two skirts and a top. Yay! Denver told me he was looking forward to future sessions with me, especially a potential bridal shower party I’m thinking of planning for a friend. Yes, he does those as well!
