3. First, I’d balk at the immense responsibility like any respectable person thrust into a position of such importance. After some (mercifully) short soul searching, whereupon I realise that this is my DESTINYYY, I’d command the geeks and hackers of the world to wreck havoc upon enemy systems (provided they are not superior, intelligent life forms with advanced technology). That would buy us some time. And the users of social media will get the word out via Twitter. Or Blackberry Messenger. Likely the latter, as the Malaysian internet will probably crash in the first waves of panic and deluge of Facebook status updates.
And my first public service announcement would be to tell people to just keep their loved ones close to avoid hurting themselves on the endless ‘JAMES/JANE! WHERE ARE YOUUUUU?!’ quests people go on in the face of imminent destruction.
Then, anyone with a half decent grasp of martial arts – or own nunchucks/katanas/cool weaponry, same thing – must get their battle gear on and fight to the death. Either that or hold off the evil hordes until the ever reliable US army swoops in and saves the day.
Failing that, I’d just make everyone sit down and have a massive kumbayah session to hold each other’s hands and wallow in hopelessness, because we all know that when meetings of people on brink of despair take place, it inevitably leads to another hero (namely, not me) rising from the ashes and decimating the destroyers.

First off I’d get the info out anyway I could to everyone so no one would be left in the dark and caught by surprise, everyone would get the chance to fight for their lives. Why me? Why? Why??? That’s the first thought that would be going through my head as I run round my house hysterically. As if paying bills, remembering birthdays and waking up early is not already tough, now I’m in charged of saving mankind! Bravo! After drinking a cup of warm Milo (this is my story and it has to be Malaysian-ized) it will slowly sink into me that I have a mammoth task at hand with no super human powers. Darn, where’s the Bat signal when you need one? Think fast and act faster, that’s going to be my tagline.
First, I’ll book a first class ticket on the new Airbus to Washington DC to meet the president of the US of A and to alert the pentagon of the impending predicament. (First class because if the world would be ending, my credit card bill will be the last thing that the banks will be coming after, besides, it’ll be more James Bondish). I would like to run to our ministry of defense, but for one who can loose jet engines, errr, I think I’d not trust them with mankind.
After seeing Obama balked at the thought of the Armageddon, I will then tell him to bring out all his best man and his best weapons. Bring out the weapons of Mass destruction if you have, I’ll dare him.
Next, we’ll formulize a strategy. The plan is to hide all of mankind underground while the heroes will man the battle stations on ground level. Here, the world is not going to be hit by a giant meteor nor would the earth core melt resulting in the movement of tectonic plates. But we will be invaded by enemies from the sky. Hence underground would be the safest place for all. Besides, we still have a lot of unutilized underground tunnels the world over.
We’ll then alert the head of every nation and to tell them to keep it under wraps. “Do not scare the people” I’ll say. Tell them that it is just a national holiday and that everyone is going to do some caves/tunnels exploration as part of a 1world, 1universe bonding thingy.
Majority of the people would be transferred to Vietnam and North Korea and Afghanistan as these would be the places with the most underground tunnels leftover from the Viet-cong days, Korean War and Osama respectively.
Once all of mankind is safely hidden, I’ll then don the coolest Armani suit (of course with bullet proof vest under it), put on my baseball cap (preferably with the word “Legion” printed on it) and grab the biggest and most powerful gun there is (size does matter) and of course, my Oakley shades.
On my count, all the nations and their best warrior on ground level will start shooting the attackers who will be ascending from the sky. Of course time is essential and we must all be synchronized. (Therefore it will be specifically based on my Rolex oyster perpetual watch timer). With the gun in my hand and a cigar in my mouth (for added effect) I’ll be screaming a lot of expletives while shooting at everything else except for the attackers.
One by one the enemies will fall (hit by the other warriors of the protector of mankind). Finally, all of them will be lying motionless. There will be casualties on our side of course, but I will emerge from it unscathed. I’m the one who is in charged of saving mankind remember?
After the carnage, every man, woman and child who have been hiding underground will all crawl out and sigh a huge sigh of relief.
As for me, I’ll be made the hero who saved mankind, be laden with loads of monies and rewards and of course I’ll get to hug and kiss Miss Universe who will be utterly grateful to me for saving her life.

I’d do it for the glory because I’m from Bolehland and I can do anything to get into the Guinness Book of Records. How? I’ll bribe my way through, of course ;)
Work together with the International Space Agency (ISS) and the United Nations (UN) to build a massive, gigantic space station which can house up to 100,000 people. Then conduct a worldwide search for the best genes on planet Earth. Important selection criteria should include :
(a) Healthy individuals of marriageable age who are free from any diseases, harmful infections, etc
(b) Ratio of 50% females, 50% males, to ensure hugely successful marriage integrations
(c) The chosen ones should have the best genes possible known to humankind (smart, intelligent, creative, etc)
(d) The chosen ones should ONLY have admirable morals, selfless values, and the purest of hearts.
Those selected will then be transported to the new space station to work, live and raise their families there; thus ensuring the continuity of us human species.
