THERE is always something new to read about celebrities, isn’t there? Well, this week is no different. Let’s check out some of the celebs who have been out and about town making news and finding ways to stay in the limelight.

 

Ain’t no Kardashians

Do not ever make the mistake of referring to Kendall and Kylie Jenner as Kardashians. In an interview with Glamour magazine, Kendall proudly claimed that “We’re full-throttle Jenners! We don’t have any desire to be Kardashians.”

That’s quite a relief as there are more Kardashians in the world than one could actually handle, what with their big half-sis Kimberly now pregnant with her first child with rapper Kanye West.

The girls talked about the perks of being reality stars as well as the downside of the fame that it brought them.

“Our family is closer because of the show. And when we are older, we’ll have the memories on tape. If some of those moments hadn’t been filmed, I wouldn’t remember them,” said Kylie, 15.

Seventeen-year-old Kendall talked about the negative side of fame, which includes no privacy and personal attacks from strangers.

“We appreciate everything that we have, but we don’t remember what it’s like to be normal kids who aren’t harassed by the paparazzi. I hate that.

“We are underage girls. I don’t want to be followed by random men I don’t know.

It can also be hard to deal with other kids who are jealous or mean. I can’t poost picture on Instagram without being criticised.”

Sharm says: Kendall is really my favourite person out of that crazy bunch. She seem more normal and less annoying than Kylie.

 

Single and free

Newly single One Direction hottie Harry Styles celebrated his 19th birthday in style last Friday and he definitely didn’t show any traces of a heartbreak as he partied the night away.

The singer who just broke up with country superstar Taylor Swift acted like a bonafide rockstar in a club in London as he spent a fortune on drinks for himself and his posse which included bandmate Nial Horan and socialite Pixie Geldof.

The Sunday Mirror reported that Styles had passed out on a couch at 6am and that he was seen in the arms of many young and beautiful ladies who helped make his special day memorable throughout the night.

Sharm says: Well, Swift may have sent Styles a not-so-subtle message at the recent NRJ Awards in France when she performed her hit single We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together but it seems that the lad doesn’t want her back as well. Burn.

Are they or are they not?

Just in case you’re keeping up with the Justin Bieber – Selena Gomez saga, the two spent the night together last week and that just got everyone assuming that the couple is back together … again.

Gomez broke things off on New Year’s Eve and just last week, Bieber wrote an emotional song, Nothing Like Us, about his split from her.

According to E! News, the couple has been spending the past couple weeks texting and talking, and one source said that “Selena is learning to love Bieber again.” The website also said that, “Bieber joined Gomez for the girl group YLA’s private concert at Soho House in West Hollywood on Saturday night and one of the band members even tweeted, “No big deal … Bieber and Gomez front seat at our first show. Musta been the music.”

E! also said that Gomez still refers to Bieber as “my ex-boyfriend” and is taking this relationship very slowly. “They are on good terms and hanging out. But they are not back together,” added a source.

Sharm says: OMG, what is up with these kids? Can they make up their minds as to whether they want to be together or not?

Dude looks like a lady

Steven Tyler is one heck of a fun guy and the former American Idol judge proved just that when he played a prank on the talent competition’s current judging panel. The Aerosmith rockstar decided to stop by the final round of auditions for the 12th season dressed in full drag and auditioned under the name “Pepper”.

Although he didn’t sing, the former judge did say a few crazy things that only Tyler could deliver with a straight face – that’s what the show is missing this season – and even flashed his derriere to Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson on his way out.

Sharm says: How many Likes do I need to get on Facebook before they finally get rid of Randy “The Dawg” Jackson?

WE love reading about celebrities and their antics, don’t we? Well, they didn’t fail us this week as they’ve given us plenty of things to gossip.

In trouble?


Just in case you didn’t know, there were several photographs leaked online showing current teen sensation Justin Bieber indulging in an unhealthy activity – smoking pot.

This riled his fans up and some irresponsible pranksters urged his fans online to go on a dangerous activity to show their disapproval of the teen’s act.
They started a #cut4bieber trend which got his young fans posting gory photographs of cutting themselves in protest of Bieber smoking.
Some of the photographs are really graphic with teens showing their bloody slashed wrists.

Young fans have been posting pictures on Twitter showing graphic bloody images with slashed wrists and blades.

Miley Cyrus, one of Bieb’s close friends Tweeted “#cut4bieber? Cutting is NOT something to joke about. There are people who are actually suffering from self-harm, this is so disrespectful,” voicing her thought on the incident.

Right after photos of him smoking what appeared to be weed was leaked, Bieber released the following statement on Twitter.

“Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up. i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers”.

However, Biebs is yet to say anything about the cutting trend started by his fans.

Sharm says: This is such a terrible situation. Bieber is just acting his age (not that I condone drug usage) and young fans shouldn’t resolve to such tactic to get their message across.

What’s going on?


Everyone thought that their “favourite” couple Rihanna and Chris Brown were back together after being photographed all lovey-dovey at the Lakers game last month, but that might just not be the case.

Well, that’s because Brown was spotted driving around Los Angeles in his ex-girlfriend’s (or is she?) bright blue Porsche. Erm, RiRi is not going to be happy when she hears about that!

It may seem that Brown is two-timing on the Bajan beauty but sources told HollywoodLife that he’s serious about getting back with Rihanna. “He picked up her car, drove it to his house while the homie drove him there and followed him back in his car — just so he could have it detailed and clean for when she gets back. He went to her crib and turned on lights and set her alarm. Little stuff like that. Ri can hire people for all that, but he wants to do it for her. He in it 100 percent right now.”

Sharm says: OMG, what’s going on over there?

The next step
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are ready to play house … for real. The couple just plonked a cool US$11mil (RM33mil) on a new love nest in swanky Bel Air.

The couple bought the house a few weeks ago and construction has already begun to make the place ready for them to move in.

It is reported that the infamous duo is going all out to pimp their house complete with a gym, pool, bowling alley, basketball court, and a hair and make-up salon.

Knowing Kimye’s penchant for luxury, this home is going to be over the top and ready for when the baby arrives.

Sharm says: I don’t know why but I have a weird feeling that this couple will actually last!

It’s over
Anyone wants to date Taylor Swift? That’s because the singer is currently single as she has already moved on from One Direction hottie Harry Styles after dating him for about two months.

It was reported that the couple got into a huge fight which ended their romance.
The 23-year-old country singer left the British Virgin Island (where she was holidaying with Styles) and tweeted, “…’til you put me down,” a day later.

Styles on the other hand was seen on Necker Island where Business Insider reports that he “hung out in the hottub and mingled with female fans until the early morning hours.”

Sharm says: Didn’t I give this relationship three months? They broke up in less than that. I WIN!

Out of control

Justin Bieber is acting out, or so say the people around him. There have been several rumours that the big wigs at Bieber’s record label, Def Jam Records, are fed up with the 18-year-old

singer’s “bratty antics” and may even cut ties with the successful artist.

Sources claim that Bieber’s team has tried to keep the singer under a short leash but apparently, “Justin doesn’t seem to care and does whatever he wants. He doesn’t listen to anyone. He’s surrounded by hangers-on who say ‘yes’ to anything he wants. There’s no supervision.”

According to Forbes, Bieber made US$55mil (RM168mil) last year, and his supervisors are worried that his bratty act “could really damage his reputation if they don’t get it under control … Just look at Britney Spears.”

Sharm says: Let’s give him six months before he shaves his head and attacks the paparazzi with an umbrella.

Taking it public

Remember how Rihanna dissed her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on Twitter last week? Well, you may remember it but we have photographic evidence that she has let bygones be bygones. The singer who cut short her vacation in Barbados after a stalker scare (he’s been arrested since), was last seen in Brown’s arm at a basketball game earlier this week.

They arrived at the L.A Lakers and New York Knicks game at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles together, and even sat court-side next to each other.

This is the couple’s first public appearance together since the infamous assault in 2009 and news has it that Brown even dumped his former girlfriend Karrueche Tran to be with the Bajan beauty. The R&B singer admitted that he was “in love with two women” in a short film he made few months ago and Rihanna had also confessed her love for Brown during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Sharm says: Once bitten, twice shy, RiRi. Remember that.

 

Jennifer would like to make an announcement: 'I'm not pregnant!'

She’s not preggers

For once and for all people, Jennifer Aniston is not pregnant. The singer who was rumoured to have a bun in the oven showed off her tight body in a pink bikini during a vacation in Mexico and there was no baby bump to be seen.

The actress has always been scrutinised for signs of pregnancy and just last week, rumours were swirling that 43-year-old Aniston and her fiance Justin Theroux were ready to receive a bundle of joy next year.

Sharm says: Maybe she’ll just surprise everyone and adopt a baby … like Angie did … three times.

 

Beyonce wants everyone to end gun-related violence.

No to gun violence

Some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities and musicians took part in a new public service announcement to fight against gun violence. Beyonce, Reese Witherspoon, Jamie Foxx, Selena Gomez and Gwyneth Paltrow were just some of the stars who banded together for Demand A Plan – an initiative that demands US President Barack Obama to come up with a plan to end gun violence.

In the video, the stars ask: “How many more colleges? How many more classrooms? How many more movie theatres? How many more houses of faith?”

Sharm says: Violence is never the solution to any problem, people.

 

Jessica Simpson announces her pregnancy.

She’s preggers

So it is true. Jessica Simpson is about to put on more weight after successfully losing almost 23kg with her Weight Watchers campaign. The singer announced her pregnancy on Twitter, posting a cute photo of her eight month old daughter Maxwell with the words “Big Sis” written in the sand.

How creative.

She also captioned the photo with: “Merry Christmas from my family to yours!”

There were rumours that the people behind Weight Watchers were furious with the singer for getting pregnant again before reaching the target weight as signed in their contract, but the message they left for Simpson on their Twitter page sounded otherwise. They wrote: “Your WW family is so thrilled for you. What an amazing year you’ve had!”

Sharm says: How much weight is she going to gain this time around, and more importantly, how long will it take for her to lose them?

ANOTHER week has gone by and that just means one thing – there’s new gossip from Hollywood and we are more than excited to repeat them, yes?


Prank gone right?
That Justin Bieber sure knows how to get everyone’s attention. The 18-year-old singer caused a media frenzy earlier this week when reports surfaced that his laptop – which contains some of his private photos and videos – was stolen.
Then, someone using the @gexwy Twitter handle, tweeted saying that they have the laptop in possession and threatened to release said photos and videos of the singer – and they eventually did.
The link led viewers to Justin Bieber’s YouTube page, which featured his latest single Beauty and a Beat featuring Nicki Minaj, which had this message at the beginning of the video: “In October of 2012, three hours of personal footage was stolen from musician Justin Bieber. The following footage was illegally uploaded by an anonymous blogger.”
It eventually dawned upon everyone that it was a ploy by Bieber to get people talking about his latest music.
He later took to his personal Twitter account and said: “Since i was 14 I have had a lot of things said about me, from dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family…
“To saying I had a baby with a woman I never even met. Nude pics, drugs, my family, my character… But today… Today I get to be in on it…”
Sharm says: Why all this unnecessary drama when he knows that millions of screaming girls are going to watch his video anyway?


Tom renouncing Scientology?
Tom Cruise must really love the life he had with Katie Holmes and daughter Suri as there are reports saying that the 50-year-old actor is considering cutting ties with the Church of Scientology.
A source told X17online.com: “Now he’s lost the most precious thing in his life, he sees that his Scientology beliefs may not have hurt his box office but have ended not one but two marriages.
“It was a terrifying and rude awakening for Tom when Katie served him with divorce papers. He’s used to feeling undefeatable and untouchable. When he lost Katie he felt like a failure.”
Cruise joined the church in 1990 and the religion was also said have to caused his split from second wife Nicole Kidman.

Reggie’s girl no more
If you ever run into Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, don’t ever make the mistake of talking about the reality star’s ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush. One paparazzo learned this lesson the hard way.
Two days ago, Kardashian and West almost bumped into Bush and his baby mama while out for dinner in Miami.
“Kim and Kanye had a very discreet dinner in a private room with the curtains drawn at Prime Hotel while Reggie was with his girlfriend across the street at Prime Italian,” an eyewitness told In Touch magazine.
The paparazzi tried to get a reaction from the famous couple and one of them even asked West about Bush being nearby, which obviously ticked the singer off.
Things got heated when one female photographer allegedly said to Kardashian: “Kim did you know Reggie is here (in Miami) having dinner? Did you wanna go congratulate him on his pregnancy?”
That was when West got into a rage and intimidated the photographer into leaving the scene. Later, the female paparazzo told other photographers “Kanye West just tried to beat me up.”
Sharm says: How much do you want to bet that Kanye is going to write a song about Reggie next? OMG, he is such a Taylor Swift.

Oh no, not again!
Everyone’s favourite troublemaker Lindsay Lohan has found herself entangled in more family drama. Seriously, that girl can’t get a break! She got into a major fight with her mother Dina Lohan, which resulted in her estranged father calling 911 to diffuse the situation.
Her father on the other hand also embarrassed Lilo by releasing a recording of a conversation – in which she accuses her mother of being high on cocaine – with his daughter on that fateful night.
The next day however, the mother daughter duo made up and were seen hugging each other awkwardly before news broke that Dina is insisting that Lindsay gets a permanent protective order against her father. That would mean that Michael won’t be able to call, text or have any kind of contact with Lindsay in the future.
Upon hearing the news, Michael told the Daily Mail, “Lindsay is my daughter, and I love her to death. And I know she loves me too. This isn’t going to happen.”
Sharm says: Anybody wants to adopt Lindsay and give her a good, loving home?

Britney Spears is ready to walk down the aisle for the third time, y’all. Her long-time (yes, two years is a long time in celebrityland) boyfriend Jason Trawick popped the question last week and the Pop Princess was more than thrilled to say “yes”.

She tweeted: “OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for … Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited! Xxo.”

As we all know, Britney was infamously married to her childhood best friend Jason Alexander and got it annulled 55 hours later. She had also tied the knot with her backup dancer Kevin Federline – with whom she has two sons.

Britney and Jason have been dating since 2009, and the latter even gave up his job as her manager after their relationship got serious. He also co-designed the engagement ring.

Sharm says: How much do you want to bet that this marriage will last longer than 72 days? And Britney is the one who had a mental breakdown …

Yes, they’re real

Miley Cyrus turned some heads when she wore a deep cleavage-baring dress to the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event in Los Angeles last week. The yellow dress with a plunging neckline clearly accentuated her chest area which prompted many to question the authenticity of her breasts. Apparently, they seemed slightly bigger than usual.

Rumours started flying that the 19-year-old singer had recently undergone a breast enhancement surgery and plastic surgeons (who have never worked on Miley) even speculated on it.

Not one to let people spread rumours about her, Miley took to Twitter to defend herself. She said: “Thank you for the compliment but these babies are all mine. I wish they’d realize you don’t have to be fake to be beautiful!” and “HA! Yeah! And I’m 19!!! BOOBS GROW PEOPLE!”

Sharm says: Miley’s wild things just can’t be tamed.

A talented lot … not

We all know that veteran TV host Barbara Walters doesn’t shy away from the hard-hitting questions and the Kardashian clan was not spared her sharp tongue.

Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kris were featured on Barbara’s annual 10 Most Fascinating People Of 2011 special, when the host sprung the “sex-tape” question to the family’s main money maker.

Barbara asked Kim if the 2007 sex tape of her and R&B singer Ray J was a good thing to have done. Kim gave an unintelligible answer which went something like this: “Whatever you do, you might think. I’ve made mistakes in my life for sure.”

Kris then jumped in to state: “It was devastating for the whole family. You cry yourself to sleep for a few nights, then you hire an attorney.”

Then the host also asked about the family’s lack of “talent”, which Khloe defended by saying: “None of us think we have talent. None of us think we can sing or act or dance.”

Sharm says: No kidding, Kardashians. We kinda figured that you’re a talentless lot, like, ages ago!

Don’t call her ScarJo

Whatever you do, don’t ever make the mistake of calling Scarlett Johansson, “ScarJo” to her face.

While other celebrities don’t mind the affectionate nicknames that the media gives them, Scarlett is very much offended by the moniker.

The actress lashed out at the media while promoting her latest flick We Bought A Zoo and told USA Today: “Oh, it’s awful. It’s a laziness. People can’t actually say the whole name? It’s just bizarre.”

Scarlett then dragged in actress Cate Blanchett into the conversation and said, “So Cate Blanchett is not, like, ‘CaBla’? Why is that? Why do I have to get stuck (with this nickname)?”

Sharm says: Why is she all worked up about the nickname? Okay, maybe we should start calling her The-Actress-Famous-For-Lost-In-Translation.

Doing a good deed

Justin Bieber proved that he’s not just all talk when he fulfilled the promise he made to the students of Whitney Elementary in Las Vegas, Nevada. Not only did he put on a holiday concert at the school, he also wrote them a cheque for US$100,000 (RM318,000) when he visited them last Friday.

The singer had teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres to help the school kids and the TV host also surprised the school with another US$100,000 donation courtesy of Target.

The school was brought to attention when news spread that over 70% of the children enrolled at Whitney don’t have permanent homes.

Sharm says: It’s really awesome when celebs use their good fortunes to help those in need.

The Internet has not stopped buzzing ever since Justin Bieber announced that he wants to be a father. The news sent teenage girls all over the world into a frenzy, with each of them hoping to be the lucky one who will “produce” Baby Bieber.

*Who wants to be his baby mama?*

Girls, get a grip.

First of all, yes, Justin wants to be a father but hello, it’s not any time soon! The 17-year-old singer told Women’s Wear Daily that he would like to start a family when he’s in his mid-twenties.

“Well, by 25 or 26, I want to see myself, like, married or start looking for a family … I want to be a young dad,” he was quoted as saying.

The revelation doesn’t come as a surprise to many as Justin’s parents were also very young when they had him. The apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree … well, unless Justin was an “accident” baby.

The teen sensation also stated clearly that he is not thinking about starting a family soon: “One thing – I’m not looking to get married now,” he said in the interview.

Sharm says: You gotta wait a few more years girls. At least until his voice breaks.

 

Toasted and roasted

In Charlie Sheen’s altered mind (thanks to years of substance abuse), he is a winner. And guess what? The crazy actor’s proclamation may not be that absurd after all.

In last weekend’s taping of Comedy Central Roast (in which celebrities get to poke fun at each other), Charlie kinda proved that he’s not a loser … a sore loser, at least.

The former highest-paid actor for a TV series was fired from the Two And A Half Men show which re-launched his failing acting career a few years back (and which now stars Ashton Kutcher), and the roasters didn’t let him forget that easily.

They made fun of him mercilessly and the actor just laughed and smiled throughout the teasing.

Comedian Jon Lovitz said, “How much (cocaine) can Charlie Sheen do? Enough to kill two and a half men”, while roast master Seth MacFarlane (the man behind Family Guy) introduced the actor as “a man with a big heart, because it’s been dangerously enlarged by cocaine use”.

Taking all the teasing in stride, Charlie later said in his speech that he understands just how lucky he is to have people who still want him around.

“It was only when the smoke cleared I realised just how lucky I am, because even after all that, I still have a family that loves me,” he said.

Charlie added: “This roast may be over, but I’m Charlie Sheen, and in here (touching his chest) burns an internal fire. I just have to remember to keep it away from a crack pipe.”

Sharm says: Charlie may have lost his mind but it’s good to know that he still has his sense of humour.

 

Off the market … again

How long did it take for George Clooney to get over Elisabetta Canalis, his gorgeous girlfriend of two years? Well, just over a month, apparently. The couple broke up in July and a few weeks later, rumours surfaced that the actor was already seeing former wrestler Stacey Keibler.

*Single no more*

Yeah, George and a former wrestler. Deal with it.

And as if to confirm this news, the couple were seen together at the Toronto International Film Festival at which George debuted two of his movies, The Ides Of March and The Descendants.

While many say that this relationship is not serious – and that Stacey is just a rebound girlfriend – there are others who claim that she may also be the one for George.

Sharm says: Hmph … how can Stacey be the one for George, when that person is right here?

 

Bad tweet

Many celebrities use their Twitter accounts to share their joy, sadness and basically everything about their lives. So did Ashton Kutcher (one of the first few celebrities to get a Twitter account) but one particular tweet from him last Sunday has landed him in hot water.

The actor tweeted: “This (is) without a doubt the greatest day of the year! Hello football my old friend. Let’s us mingle for the next 5 months.”

On a normal day, it would just be another tweet, but unfortunately for Ashton, Sunday marked the10th annivesary of the 9/11 tragedies in which many people lost their lives and loved ones.

Realising his mistake, Ashton then tweeted: “I got mad respect for the people that suffered in 9/11. Pls don’t twist my enthusiasm. … Hindsight … Yeah, that was probably a poorly worded tweet.”

Sharm says: Tsk, tsk. Check your Tweets before you click “Send”, people.
