Taylor Swift may be forever single and Rihanna snubs Kendall Jenner. Ouch!

THERE is always something new to read about celebrities, isn’t there? Well, this week is no different. Let’s check out some of the celebs who have been out and about town making news and finding ways to stay in the limelight.

On love and life

We all know that Taylor Swift has had her heart broken … many times … a year. In the latest issue of Wonderland magazine, the 23-year-old country superstar opens up about her infamous love life, although she doesn’t exactly name the boys she has dated in recent years.

“Relationships are like traffic lights,” she said. “And I just have this theory that I can only exist in a relationship if it’s a green light.”

The singer also spoke about heartbreaks, something she’s very familiar with, unfortunately.

“It’s very complex; you’re never feeling just sad. Maybe you wake up and you feel sad, and then you get angry, and then you feel like ‘I’m fine’, and then you feel confident, and then you feel a sense of doubt, and then you’re insecure, and then there’s jealousy, and then you’re back to sad – and then you feel fine again.”

Swift was also very candid in the interview, talking about her future plans and stating that she doesn’t have anything solid in the works.

“I know where I’ll be on tour in two months, but no idea where I’m going to be mentally, emotionally, dreams, goals, wishes, hopes. I have no idea if I’m going to get married or be single forever or have a family or just be on my own. You can make a board for all the goals you want in your life with the pictures on it, and that’s great, daydreaming is wonderful, but you can never plan your future.”

An unplanned gift

Kim Kardashian didn’t get pregnant on purpose, that’s what she wants everyone to know. The reality TV starlet talked about her surprise pregnancy on the season finale of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami and said, ““I just cannot believe I am having a baby. Kanye and I are like ‘Is this happening?’ Oh my God. Am I ready for this? Like, can I handle this?”

She had actually wanted to wait until she remarried before getting pregnant and was also preparing to freeze her eggs to increase the chances of having a baby in the future.

“The whole plan with my doctor was to go to Miami, get off birth control, really clean out my system, freeze my eggs and I got pregnant. I was freezing my eggs because I did not want to get pregnant right this minute, I wanted to wait until I got divorced and hopefully remarried.”

The middle Kardashian sister also talked about her hesitation to break her pregnancy news to younger sister Khloe, who’s been struggling to conceive.

Khloe, however, had nothing but love for big sister. She said, “Stop, that is amazing, congratulations. If you are happy and that is what you want to do then that is amazing.”

But of course, Khloe had to end it with something catty and told Kim, “Your a** is going to be so big!”

Sharm says: Khloe is right. Have you seen recent pictures of Kim K? Her a** … man, you could see them from the moon.

Single but not available

Sorry ladies, but hunky actor Bradley Cooper is off the market. The Silver Linings Playbook actor is currently in a relationship with 20-year-old British model Suki Waterhouse, who some sources claim, has the star wrapped around her finger.

The source told RadarOnline.com, “Suki has Bradley marching to the beat of her drum. First, he invited her to Boston, even when he was busy filming his latest movie. Then she told him she wanted to be romanced in Paris. He immediately organised it, with no expense spared.”

It was also reported that Waterhouse has Cooper on his toes as she doesn’t want him to treat her like one of his flings.

“She wants more than that,” the source added.

Cooper had earlier said that he was on the prowl for a new girlfriend, someone who could make his heart race.

“I look for a girl that is fun, a free spirit. I’m a romantic. I can be soppy.”

Sharm says: Wait, what? I am fun and free spirited! Why didn’t he choose me? Why?

Stinging rejection

Kendall Jenner is a big Rihanna fan, or she was until the singer was mean to her on the social media site Instagram. The 17-year-old model had tweeted, “If Rihanna doesn’t perform Complicated tomorrow I’m gonna be very upset #FavSong!”

One of Rihanna’s fans screen-captured the tweet and posted in on Instagram, and alerted the singer of Jenner’s hope.

Instead of inviting the member of the infamous Kardashian clan, Rihanna replied, “Well don’t come.”

Feeling embarrassed, Jenner later tweeted something which many people assume was directed at the Bajan singer, “People are real mean yo.”

However, Jenner proved that she is a big fan indeed and attended the concert in Los Angeles with her brother-in-law Scott Disick later that evening.

Sharm says: Ouch. I know it’s mean, but I’m secretly happy that Rihanna didn’t pretend to be nice to Kendall. *evil grin*

WE love reading about celebrities and their antics, don’t we? Well, they didn’t fail us this week as they’ve given us plenty of things to gossip.

In trouble?

Just in case you didn’t know, there were several photographs leaked online showing current teen sensation Justin Bieber indulging in an unhealthy activity – smoking pot.

This riled his fans up and some irresponsible pranksters urged his fans online to go on a dangerous activity to show their disapproval of the teen’s act.
They started a #cut4bieber trend which got his young fans posting gory photographs of cutting themselves in protest of Bieber smoking.
Some of the photographs are really graphic with teens showing their bloody slashed wrists.

Young fans have been posting pictures on Twitter showing graphic bloody images with slashed wrists and blades.

Miley Cyrus, one of Bieb’s close friends Tweeted “#cut4bieber? Cutting is NOT something to joke about. There are people who are actually suffering from self-harm, this is so disrespectful,” voicing her thought on the incident.

Right after photos of him smoking what appeared to be weed was leaked, Bieber released the following statement on Twitter.

“Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up. i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u. #beliebers”.

However, Biebs is yet to say anything about the cutting trend started by his fans.

Sharm says: This is such a terrible situation. Bieber is just acting his age (not that I condone drug usage) and young fans shouldn’t resolve to such tactic to get their message across.

What’s going on?

Everyone thought that their “favourite” couple Rihanna and Chris Brown were back together after being photographed all lovey-dovey at the Lakers game last month, but that might just not be the case.

Well, that’s because Brown was spotted driving around Los Angeles in his ex-girlfriend’s (or is she?) bright blue Porsche. Erm, RiRi is not going to be happy when she hears about that!

It may seem that Brown is two-timing on the Bajan beauty but sources told HollywoodLife that he’s serious about getting back with Rihanna. “He picked up her car, drove it to his house while the homie drove him there and followed him back in his car — just so he could have it detailed and clean for when she gets back. He went to her crib and turned on lights and set her alarm. Little stuff like that. Ri can hire people for all that, but he wants to do it for her. He in it 100 percent right now.”

Sharm says: OMG, what’s going on over there?

The next step
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are ready to play house … for real. The couple just plonked a cool US$11mil (RM33mil) on a new love nest in swanky Bel Air.

The couple bought the house a few weeks ago and construction has already begun to make the place ready for them to move in.

It is reported that the infamous duo is going all out to pimp their house complete with a gym, pool, bowling alley, basketball court, and a hair and make-up salon.

Knowing Kimye’s penchant for luxury, this home is going to be over the top and ready for when the baby arrives.

Sharm says: I don’t know why but I have a weird feeling that this couple will actually last!

It’s over
Anyone wants to date Taylor Swift? That’s because the singer is currently single as she has already moved on from One Direction hottie Harry Styles after dating him for about two months.

It was reported that the couple got into a huge fight which ended their romance.
The 23-year-old country singer left the British Virgin Island (where she was holidaying with Styles) and tweeted, “…’til you put me down,” a day later.

Styles on the other hand was seen on Necker Island where Business Insider reports that he “hung out in the hottub and mingled with female fans until the early morning hours.”

Sharm says: Didn’t I give this relationship three months? They broke up in less than that. I WIN!

WE love our celeb news because, hey, if we can’t join them, the least we can do is read about them, right? As usual, some of our favourite celebrities made headlines, and no … they’re are not all for the right reasons.

Cheesy couple
Everyone listen up. Taylor Swift and her new One Direction boy toy Harry Styles are in love and they want you to know it. And what better way for them to profess their young love towards each other than by re-enacting one of the most romantic on-screen poses – the Dirty Dancing “lift”?

Yup, Swift, 23, and Styles, 18, recreated the famous scene from the classic 1987 movie where Patrick Swayze lifts Jennifer Grey up over his head and spins her around.

Well, we have a picture to prove that it really did happen last Friday night.

A party-goer at last week’s Z100’s Jingle Ball after-party tweeted a photograph of the new couple with the caption: “Harry Styles gives Taylor Swift a ‘lift’ at the One Direction MSG After Party.”

Apparently the love fest continued all night long with the couple seen cuddling and kissing each other.

Sharm says: How much weight do I have to lose before Harry Styles gets to lift me up like that?

A sad child
He may be a huge star, but Hugh Jackman still feels the pain of being abandoned by his mother when he was younger. The actor broke down during a recent 60 Minutes interview and shared that his mother had left him when he was eight, leaving him with no maternal figure in his life.

“As I went off to school, when I came back, there was no one there in the house. The next day there was a telegram from England – mum was there. And then that was it. I don’t think she thought for a second it would be forever. I think she thought it was, ‘I just need to get away, and I’ll come back.’”

Jackson’s mother relocated to England and never returned. “My father is my rock. It’s where I learned everything about loyalty, dependability, being there day in, day out, no matter what,” he said.

Sharm says: Aww … poor thing. Come here, let me give you a big hug.

She ain’t no diva
Lea Michele is no diva and she wants you to know it. During an interview for an upcoming Marie Claire issue, the Glee actress addressed the pesky rumours that she’s a demanding diva.

“I am a very outspoken person, and if something makes me uncomfortable, you will know that it makes me uncomfortable, but that’s as far as it goes,” she said. “I can assure you that (the rumours ) aren’t real. It’s super-frustrating sometimes, and I used to fight back, but now I feel like, ‘You can think what you want to think about me – that’s OK’. I have the most amazing fans, friends, and family members who have stood by me, and I know that my cast and crew really enjoy working with me. That’s all that matters.”

She also talked about her boyfriend Cory Monteith, saying: “I don’t even remember a time when he wasn’t my boyfriend. No one knows me better than Cory. No one knows what it’s been like to go through this more than he does. For the first time in my life, I feel really settled and happy. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”

Sharm says: You do realise that more than one person has claimed that Lea is a diva, right? Just ask her number one hater, Joan Rivers. In this case, I’m Team Joan.

An epic love triangle
Rihanna wants Chris Brown – who is still in touch with his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, and that just doesn’t fly with the Bajan singer.

Brown met up with Tran in Paris last weekend and rumour has it that it didn’t go down well with on-again girlfriend Rihanna.

The singer tweeted a bunch of random profanity-laden things, which many presume were aimed at Brown, who didn’t respond.

However, a day later, the Diamonds singer tweeted a snapshot of her cuddling with Brown with the caption, “Miss you.”

Sharm says: OMG, make up your mind girl. Do you want to be with Chris or what?

ONCE again, celebrities were up to what they do best – making headlines. Here are some of the things that they made news for this past week.

It’s official… Well, kinda
Okay, Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, at least as friends, and they have no qualms in sharing photos of them together online.

Rihanna posted a picture on her Instagram account showing her hugging ex-boyfriend Brown with the caption “I don’t wanna leave! Killed it tonight baby!”

Although their faces are hidden in the photograph, it can’t be denied that the infamous duo are the ones in front of the camera.

RiRi has been hinting about a possible reunion with Brown for a while, and late last month, she even shared an Instagram photo of a shirtless Brown in bed.

Sharm says: Well, everyone knows the history behind these two. They’re adults. We just have to let them handle their stupidity themselves.

Going strong
For those who fell into a depression after hearing that Justin Bieber broke up with Selena Gomez a few weeks ago, snap out of it.

Recent photographs show that the couple is back on, and their relationship might just be stronger than ever.

The couple visited their favourite spot, the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills, and were seen cruising around town in Bieber’s white Ferrari.

The 18-year-old Girlfriend singer recently opened up to talk show host and business mogul Oprah Winfrey about the relationship, claiming, “I’m all about genuine people, and I feel like she’s just one of the most genuine people.”

Sharm says: What?! You mean we are still subjected to pictures and stories about these two?

Health scare
Frankie Muniz had a stroke. What? But he’s only 26!

The Malcolm In The Middle star tweeted that he suffered a health scare that forced him to seek medical treatment. He said: “I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a ‘mini stroke’ which was not fun at all.”

The actor was taken to an emergency room after his friends noticed that Muniz had trouble speaking and understanding words. He also tweeted: “Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!”

Sharm says: It good that his friends thought of taking him to the hospital instead of standing around, laughing and taking videos of his antics to be posted up on YouTube later.

Ready for her next breakup hit?
Uh, oh. Taylor Swift might be in a relationship … with One Direction’s Harry Styles. You know that it could only mean two things – Swift getting death threats from crazy Directioners and an imminent break-up song on her part.

The couple already has a nickname, Haylor – OMG, doesn’t it sound like something you’d name a hurricane after? – and have been seen together around New York City. They are preparing to perform at the Z-100 Jingle Ball today at Madison Square Garden and were even photographed holding hands.

Sharm says: Okay, I’ll give this relationship three months. Too long, you say?

Bye, bye Hollywood
Angelina Jolie had an interview with Channel 4 News to talk about her life as an actress and mother and her humanitarian efforts.

During the interview, she let slip that she might just quit acting in the next few years to take care of her family.

“I think I’m going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home. I have enjoyed being an actress.”

Angelina added, “I am so grateful to the job and I have had great experiences and I have even be able to tell stories and be a part of stories that mattered and I have done things for fun, but … I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it’s a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it. But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children.”

Sharm says: Nooooooooo! Don’t leave us just yet Angie. *sob*

WHAT would our lives be without some weekly dosage of crazy celebrity news? Absolutely, pretty boring. Well, it’s a good thing then that the Hollywood folks have been busy and the celebrities have given us plenty of things to talk about this time around. Here’s a roundup on what’s been going down in Tinseltown recently.

A new territory
Taylor Swift is trying to prove that she’s not just a guitar-slinging young gal singing about boys and heartbreaks. The 22-year-old singer is all set to prove her acting chops and has signed on to play legendary folk singer Joni Mitchell in Girls Like Us. She did make her acting debut in Valentine’s Day, though it was nothing to shout about.

Although rumours were already swirling back in April that Swift was seriously eyeing the job, the movie’s producers didn’t officially hand her the part until recently.

The movie will revolve around the life and career of singer Mitchell, as well as her fellow performers Carly Simon and Carole King.

Sharm says: Taylor as an actress? Sorry, but I don’t buy this new gig at all. Don’t hold your breath for an Oscar nomination, I say.

Back in trouble
Will Lindsay Lohan’s personal drama ever end? Guess not. The actress was rushed to a hospital in New York City last weekend and one of her reps told gossip blog X17online that the emergency was due to an asthma attack.

The rep also added that, “Lindsay was treated and released, and is doing fine.” There are several reports claiming that the 26-year-old actress is trying to get out of shooting Scary Movie 5 by feigning illness. Lohan was overheard complaining about suffering from a case of walking pneumonia, and this recent trip to the hospital only supports her claims that she was too ill to work.

Sharm says: Want to get well, LiLo? Quit your partying ways and get some sleep.

A heavy issue

Lady Gaga was recently criticised for her weight gain – she reportedly gained 25 pounds (11.3kg) – but instead of shying away from the limelight or hiding her bigger frame under baggy clothes, she did the total opposite.

Mother Monster posted some photos on her website LittleMonsters.com and showed off her “new” body and tattoos in just her underwear.

The 26-year-old singer captioned the photos as: “Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15. But today I join the body revolution. To inspire bravery. And breed some compassion.”

Sharm says: OMG, I wonder what people have to say about the extra 30kg I’ve been carrying around all my life?

New couple alert
As much as it is difficult for people to imagine that Simon Cowell actually has a love life, he does. And it is rumoured that he is now seeing Carmen Electra, yes, the former Baywatch beauty.

The unlikely couple (how did they even hook up?) were snapped in each others arms after leaving a restaurant in Hollywood. A couple of days ago, the were seen on another day and a source for In Touch Weekly said that: “They were really into each other. At one point, they were talking real close, and he leaned in and kissed her. They started making out!”

Electra had appeared as a guest judge with Cowell on Britain’s Got Talent and a few months later, dumped her fiance Rob Patterson. When asked at the time why Electra was chosen as the guest judge, Cowell, who’s the show’s producer said, “She has the best set of … teeth I have ever seen.”

Sharm says: Think they will last? I’ll give them three more weeks.

Back together?
Twilight fans, breathe. It is rumoured that Robert Pattinson is willing to forgive Kristen Stewart and give their relationship a second chance. Although, it was reported that Pattinson has a long list of rules for Stewart to follow if she wants to get back with him.

It’s said that rule number one is that Stewart will never see or speak with her Snow White and The Hunstman director Rupert Sanders (whom she had an affair with). Secondly, she must be accompanied by someone when she’s meeting people without Pattinson and thirdly, they must have regular date nights and calls when apart.

Sharm says: Okay, what kind of crazy mental prison has Rob designed for Kristen? I hope this list is not true.

Ugly Ducklings

CELEBRITIES are beautiful people, there is no denying that. Assuming that these folks have not surgically enhanced their looks, it’s safe to say that they have always been beautiful.

It’s also highly likely that these gorgeous celebrities also made the popular kids’ list in school and among their peers when they were younger.

Well, guess what? That is not case for many stars, apparently.

A lot of celebrities have come forward in recent years to claim that they never liked their looks while growing up. Some said that they were bullied for looking different and were even ostracised.

What? Are they for real?

They do know the difference between “feeling” as if you’re not pretty growing up and “actually” being, you know, “not pretty”, right?

Drool-worthy actress (if you can still call her that) Megan Fox is one of the latest celebrities to claim that she didn’t feel attractive growing up.

“I was never the pretty girl,” said Fox in an interview with Miami magazine.

Watchu’ talkin’ about Fox? *roll eyes*

Haven’t we seen photos of her as a hot teen girl? We can bet that there are many young girls today who would give their right arm just to look like that! She looked amazing.

The 25-year-old sexy, smouldering “actress” and Armani model also described her teenage self as “obnoxious” and “abrasive”, adding that she often felt picked on and ostracised by people around her. Try as we may to imagine Fox as someone who didn’t fit in at the popular girls’ table during lunch breaks, that’s the story she’s sticking with.

Unfortunately, she’s not the only gorgeous gal who claimed to have been picked on while at school.

Victoria’s Secret models Tyra Banks and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Oscar winner Angelina Jolie and even teen sensations Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, all have been reported as saying that they felt left out while growing up.

It really seems that almost every celebrity in Hollywood has claimed that they were once an awkward nerd and an outcast in school.

Didn’t any one of them have a wholesome school experience? What happened to all the bubbly, fun-loving, good-looking school kids? Didn’t they grow up to be anyone famous?

Well, if Adam Levine is to be believed, it is the nerds who score big time after school.

According to the Maroon 5 frontman, he was a big “nerdy musician” who still managed to snag some dates with girls after class while being all nerdy.

In a recent interview, Levine said, “I loved hanging out with girls … it was never an issue. And, of course, it’s been magnified with this whole (fame) thing that’s happened. So, it’s kind of crazy. I did ok, I did alright.”

Of course he’s saying that. Levine is currently dating Victoria’s Secret model Anne V. Have you seen that woman?

Well, one celebrity that didn’t have as much luck as Levine in school is Mad Men beauty Christina Hendricks.

The heavily-endowed actress recently confessed to Mirror that she was bullied at school for the way she looked.

Hendricks said: “There was a long corridor with lockers on either side and kids would sit on top of them and spit on you. It was something out of Lord Of The Flies.”

Eek! That sounds bad.

Not only did poor Hedricks have a hard time at school, she was also verbally abused by her mother who called her “horrible and ugly.” Bet her mother is eating her words now. Just look at Hendricks today and the attention she gets from all over the world.

It’s good to note that Hendricks didn’t let her childhood tragedy scar her self-image. She is one of the most-photographed women on red carpets and looks good all (well, almost) the time.

She was chosen as Esquire’s “2010 Sexiest Woman Alive” and is now one of the most beautiful women in the entertainment industry.

“If I could go back and tell my 14-year-old self anything, it would be ‘Don’t worry. You’re going to be doing exactly what you want to be doing and those people who are a******* now are still going to be a******* in 20 years. So let it go!”

Yeah, give it to them sister!

Sharm says: I was never bullied for my looks when I was younger. What does that say about me now?
