The night I’m alone
A soul against the universe
Gazing at the starlit night above
Tonight, I’m all alone
Feeding the loneliness, lying within
All trapped up, not shown without
Touching the cool air, a soft breeze
This is just me, I’m still alive
A heave of sigh, those lost moments
I hold on to the past, too much it has been
And perhaps letting go, my current lesson being
Finding it hard to do so, couldn’t bear to
What lies in my dream? dear old friend of mine?
What lies in yours, pray, do share with me
Verily, this lone soul tonight
Just wanting a lil’ companion, just for the night
Flames of dream, how bright will it burn?
Fire of passion, how long will it lasts?
Creating an illusion, a surrealistic dream
Somewhere between, the metaphysical dimension
Lost in time, heart’s blue all over
Where do I stand now, I seem to not exist
And perhaps it’s best, the soul’s light all over
Belonging to nowhere, a soul’s free to be
The night I’m alone
I felt so awake, refreshingly calm
The future awaits, the dawn shall come
For tonight, I am all alone
