When you close your eyes and see yourself, what do you dream you are and what do you dream you can become?
Ong Wei Lin, 16, student
"I always like to dream I am a politician (ha ha), sitting in the parliament and, quarrelling!"
Jason Lioh, 25, Malacca
"I dream that I am a full time photo journalist with The Star publication. I dream of becoming one who would eventually be sitting in Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai's place or maybe higher up. Ha! It's a dream, isn't it?"
Muhammad Shaiful, 19, Shah Alam
"I can see myself under a very bright light. I am dreaming to be a very good son, dad and husband."
May Yin, 16, Selangor
"Last time I had a dream that I went to a flower-field and met the caretaker of the fields there. He even told me his name (but I’m not telling you =P). Anyway when I close my eyes, I sometimes imagine that I’m there again.
"As to what I dream to become I hope to be someone who is good in art while living my other dreams."
SJ Lau, 17, Perak
"I hope I'll have the absolute power to save this world."
Andrian Tam, 17
"I see a beautiful sunset at the beach. I dream of being an environmentalist."
David Lian, 27, Kuala Lumpur
"I see myself in heaven. That's where I want to be!"
Chong Jia Chun, 18, Malacca
"I wish I'm 10cm taller because I used to dream of being an air hostess. Since that is already impossible, I usually dream of being a successful scholar who gained entrance into a prestigious university. Preferably somewhere in the States or Britain. At the age of 18 now, I have to say, I still don't know what I aspire to be.
"But I do know that besides building my professional career, I want to commit myself to other organisations which do community services and contribute to the world (other people). And maybe I'll write a book, a biography of some sort or a self help book to inspire others. And I may want to give talks and seminars (also) to motivate people around me."
Phang Kuan Hoong, 27, Kuala Lumpur, musician
"To both questions: a musician, and not a musician trapped in a day job."
