Catch our national football players in an all-new and sleek look starting this month as our Harimau Malaya team gets ready for the ASEAN Football Championship!
Unveiled by NIKE last week, the new national team kit will revisit Malaysian football’s humble beginnings of the 1950s.
And, dare we say, they look totally rad!
The new kit incorporates the classic 1958 home jersey into its home jersey design, too. This time, however, the kit will boast more modern, narrower stripes while retaining a classic look.
In addition, it will go down in the books of history as the first national jersey to incorporate three colours – red, yellow and black – with a red pop on its neckline.
The away jersey, on the other hand, will take on a younger, fresher and more modern look – an opposite approach to the more classical theme of the home jersey. It spots a new polo-style white collar with a red border on the sleeves.
Both the new jerseys from the new Malaysia national team kit are priced at RM249 each and will be available at NIKE authorised outlets.
The new national team kit integrates NIKE’s Dri-Fit technology that keep players cooler and drier. In addition, the jerseys are made from recycled polyester to better support environmental sustainability, too.
