The third and final Urbanscapes Satellite Show of the year featured the extraordinary Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D!
FYI, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has played drums on every Tenacious D record and is considered part of the band. He didn’t come along on their Asian tour though. 🙁
Instead, on Monday, the duo were here with the other members of their performing band – John Konesky on electric guitar, John Spiker playing the bass and Brooks Wackerman banging the drums.
They started their set with the song Tribute – the first single they had ever released and even after 13 years, their Malaysian fans knew every word.
In case you missed it, their full setlist included:
- Tribute
- Pick of Destiny
- Rize
- Dude
- Kyle Quit (only for a short bit – I think he quits once at every show they play)
- Friendship
- Low Hangin’
- Kickapoo
- Jazz
- The Metal
- Dio
- Roadie
- Sexaboom
- Throw Down
- Beelzeboss
- Double Team
- Wonderboy
- FHG
Was it a great show? You ‘betcha! Would we watch them again? Hell yeah! Will they come back to Malaysia? Let’s hope so!!!!!
