THANKS to the awesome people over at Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., the participants of BRATs Raub will be getting some serious professional help – with their photos and videos, that is!
A trainer from Canon will be conducting an exclusive 90-minute workshop for the BRATs at Casabrina, to help them get the best visuals possible during their field assignments.
They’ll be bringing along some Canon cameras as well, so all the aspiring journalists will get the chance to practice what they’ve learnt.
Donny Ling, director of Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.’s Image Communication Products division, said: “We are happy to join forces with R.AGE and BRATs at this camp as we recognize the need to nurture the next generation.
“We believe that starting the next generation of journalists on the right foot is crucial. With our introduction to photography, we hope to impart the necessary skills even before they embark on their careers.”
On top of that, The Star photojournalist Samuel Ong will be around throughout the camp as a facilitator, giving participants some hands-on training.
Ong has been at The Star for over 20 years, so he has an insane amount of experience covering all kinds of news.
To follow the BRATs’ journey in photos, follow them on Instagram (instagram.com/starbrats)! They will be updating the account with photos throughout the camp.
And to watch the videos they’ll be producing, go to rage.com.my/brats, or youtube.com/RAGEonlineTV.
