PANDELELA Rinong seems to be leading this generation of Malaysian athletes into greatness.

So far she’s the first female Malaysian to bag an Olympic medal, the first to qualify for the Rio Olympics, and now she’s been nominated for a Nickelodeon kid’s choice award under their sports category.

But at heart, the young Sarawakian is just another 23 year old girl, hanging out with her friends, watching anime and listening to Kpop when she’s free.

R.AGE sat down with Rinong for a quick chat about what it was like in the Olympic village, her workout routine and her Kid’s Choice Awards nomination.
