AFTER months of waiting, the first day of the Cheer 2013 grand finals is finally happening tomorrow. Are you excited? We sure are.

There are so many prizes up for grabs at the national inter-school cheerleading competition and we can only wonder which team will be bringing them home.

Also, which team do you think is going to give defending champions Cyrens a run for their money?

Could it be a team from your school? We’ll just have to wait and see.

So, if you’re ready to watch the flyers fly higher, the cheerleaders dance to the beat and be part of a positive environment that could just make you go deaf, be at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil, KL this weekend.

It doesn’t matter if you are friends, school mates, tuition mates, family members or even just a friend of a friend of someone participating in Cheer 2013; just come over and cheer on the cheerleaders.

Carpool and bring everyone
You know the “more the merrier” theory right? So bring everyone (ask your neighbours, who knows, they might just be dying to hang out with you). Oh, and just to be enviromentally friendly … don’t forget to carpool.

Make it loud
If you have whistles, vuvuzelas,, horns, trumpets, saxophones, trombones … just bring them all to Cheer 2013. Don’t be afraid of playing the wrong note or going out of tune because no one will care. The more noise you make, the better.

Stay positive
Don’t be a Negatron, be an Optimist Prime! Cheer will not be Cheer if you just support your own team. Cheer has a commendable tradition whereby everyone cheers for everyone … yup, it really happens at all Cheer events.

Hazy situation
Wear a mask. Yeah, we know it’s not exactly the best fashion accessory but it’s better to protect ourselves from the haze than to fall sick, right? Also, don’t forget to stay hydrated.
