The recent resurgence of interest in the World of Warcraft TCG is certainly a breath of fresh air, and while I really doubt it will reach the heights of its early days, it’s good to ensure some diversity in the local TCG market.

The first expansion of the new Worldbreaker block (same name), has been recently restocked, and sales are brisk as hungry WoW TCG fans lap up the packs.

So, have you stocked up on the new stuff to face the almighty Lich King himself?

The Lich King

In case you missed it, the latest WoW TCG product in town, Assault on Icecrown Citadel, contains an awesome and I-dare-say incredibly overpowered deck that is all about the Lich King himself, and all his evil minions.

This special Raid Deck set contains three other 61-card decks, featuring the heroes Lady Jaina Proudmoore and Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, as well as a single nine-card Treasure Pack.

You’re also able to buy the Treasure Packs by itself at about RM19 per pack, if that’s all you’re looking for. There are only thirty cards, all in foil, in this special set: 20 uncommons, seven rares and three epics.

Looks like the Raid Decks have been sold out so far, with restocks to follow in less than two weeks time.

Typically, the older Raid sets had special rules, where players had to cooperate, via several different standard WoW TCG decks, and beat the different villains and bosses of the raid, in a specific sequence.

This latest Raid simplifies everything, as you just need to defeat the Lich King, via a standard three-versus-one game. All the bosses and special stuff is in one deck – simple and sweet!

WoW fans will no doubt be glad to see incarnations of Frostmourne and a super amped up version of the Lich King himself (the Master Hero version had already been released in the Scourgewar block), plus a bunch of super allies.
