I love a good spot of gaming. For me, Magic: the Gathering duels appeal greatly to me, especially if the games are 10 to 15 minutes long. Love to play and see what kind of “scores” I accumulate – have been on both the receiving end and the victorious side of things on different days!

The idea of a boardgames “retreat” gives me the impression that a similar-ish concept is practiced. Participants try out as many games as possible, and everybody’s scores are tabulated. The best part is, everybody gets to try different games, without having to buy all the games. Sweet or what?

Several months back, CK Au and his compadres organized the Boardgames Club (BGC) Boardgames Retreat in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan. Set in a beach resort, it does look like the weekend of intense gaming was a huge kick for everyone involved.

Participants paid for a package, which included complimentary meals and accommodation, to basically stay in and play non-stop for nearly two days. They took the chance to dive through titles such as Troyes, Alien Frontiers, Luna, Navegador, Survive and Automobile, and more.

Well, it’s been a long-time coming but the full summaries of the event has been provided by the man himself, CK Au. Yours truly thinks the session reports (“sesreps” in short) and pictures are truly excellerando. Don’t you wish you were there?

Dive here, for the first link. Enjoy!
