*July – August (post-Cheer)
Active rest
– No cheerleading is involved but the cheerleaders are required to stay active by participating in other types of sports.
*September – February
Prep season
– In preparation for the upcoming competition season, flexibility and endurance training begins. This is a great time to work on basic cheerleading drills.
*March – April
Pre-competitive season
– Stunts and routines are choreographed and finalised by the end of this period. The training is more specific to the roles of the cheerleaders in this season, where specific training sets are devised to emulate the movements the cheerleaders will be doing in their routine.
*May – June
Competitive season
– It is practising the routine all the way. Refining the stunts, ironing out minor mistakes and maintaining strength, flexibility and endurance.
