MONTANA Fishburne wants to be famous. Who is Montana, you ask? Erm, that is percisely why she wants to be known, I guess.

The 19-year-old daughter of actor Laurence Fishburne (he plays Dr Ray Langston on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) is hell bent on becoming famous and won’t stop pursuing fame until she’s a household name like her idol … wait for it … Kim Kardashian.

Instead of getting her dad to pull some strings and put in a good word to Hollywood producers — which could lead her to becoming an actress or model, among others — Montana decides she’d rather take a different route to stardom.

She made a sex tape.

Montana’s logic behind the decision is that if Kim became famous after the release of her sex tape, she would too. Well, technically she is kind of right. No one knew that Laurence even had a daughter before this whole sex-tape actress wannabe thing.

”I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape. I’m hoping the same magic will work for me,” said Montana in a press statement.

A few weeks ago, Kim tweeted to a fan who said she was going to get plastic surgery to look like the media darling. The reality star was against her fan’s decision and now some believe that Kim should have spoken out the moment she heard of Montana’s plans.

Think it would’ve made Montana change her mind? Maybe not, since she is known for her risque behaviour. Last year, she was arrested for alleged prostitution and only avoided jail by signing up for a work-alternative programme.

Hmm, perhaps it was a gimmick she thought would help launch her name but then backfired.

”I’m impatient about getting well-known and having more opportunities, and this seemed like a great way to get started on it,” said Montana on the release of the cleverly titled Montana Fishburne sex tape.

Erm, but she has to know that Kim didn’t actually ”release” the video (which she made with her then boyfriend Ray J for personal viewing only), right? The clips were leaked and she tried to stop the ”film” from being distributed further.

Nevertheless, what is done is done and these days, it’s not easy to browse through magazines or the Intenet without seeing Kim in sexy outfits and poses.

Hmm, maybe Montana a.k.a Chippy D (that’s her porn name) has a point after all.

Fact is, Paris Hilton was just another heiress until her own sex tape surfaced in 2004 (a week before the release of The Simple Life, a reality show in which she stars with former BFF Nicole Richie).

Paris took the world by storm with her blonder-than-thou persona and penchant for partying like an animal. She even made us listen to her ahem, ”music” featuring that sometimes creepy manja voice of hers, and watch her ”act”. *Insert laugh track*

Okay, they are not too bad (we’ve gone through far worse singers and actresses) and the girl managed to stay in the limelight for a long time, until she went to jail for driving violations in 2007.

The 23 days spent in the slammer somehow changed the heiress. She became almost a new person who didn’t seek attention (sort of), let alone be reminded of her past, especially the one involving her sex tape.

Another TV personality who wishes her past would just disappear is former Playboy playmate, Kendra Wilkinson, whose sex tape came out earlier this year. The mother of one is known for her outspoken and crazy ways but the moment news of her leaked sex tape was out, she broke down.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest for E! News, Kendra broke into tears talking about how the tape was a stupid thing she did in her youth and how much she regretted doing it. She was 19 when she made the tape — yup, the same age Montana is now.

Anyway, Montana’s video came out a few weeks ago, despite her father’s ”affluential” friends’ attempts to buy off copies of the tapes from its distributor for US$1mil. Alas, they were too late and now the Internet is abuzz with comments like ”… you look exactly like your dad — does anyone want to see Laurence Fishburne do porn?” and ”You will live to regret this decision for the rest of your natural life”.

Well, will Montana actually regret her decision one day, when the sex tape comes back to haunt her at the most unexpected moment? We’ll just have to wait and see.
