WE are less than a month away from screaming our lungs out at Cheer 2013, the country’s premiere inter-school cheerleading championship!

The Cheer 2013 – organised by R.AGE and presented by MARIGOLD HL Low Fat Milk – grand finals will be held on June 29 and 30 at the Putra Indoor Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, and you can bet the stunts and routines will be even bigger and better than last year.

The participating teams have been training hard all year round for this, but in the next few weeks, they’ll be taking it up a notch to make sure they bag the biggest prize in Malaysian cheerleading.

Already in its 14th year, Cheer is a wholesome event where supporters come not only to cheer for their own teams, but for their “rivals” as well.

For those in Penang and Malacca, you can get a preview of what the finals will be like over the next two weeks. The Cheer 2013 Northern regional finals will be happening on June 9 at Han Chiang College in Georgetown, Penang; while the Southern regional final will be on June 15 at Multimedia University, Malacca.
