ALIFF Aziz is hoping to match the energy levels at Cheer 2012 with a few upbeat and inspiring songs.
The 21-year-old Singaporean singer admits that he is not a massive cheerleading fan, but thinks the sport is beneficial to young people.
“I’m intrigued by it. The gymnastics, the stunts, it looks like a really challenging but fun sport,” said Aliff.
“It’s also very entertaining to watch.”
The singer, who has just released his self-titled third album, puts his heart and soul into every performance that comes his way, and is looking forward to going on stage at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam this Sunday.
He will entertain the crowd at Cheer 2012 by performing songs in English and Malay, and he hopes to add to the energetic vibe of the event.
“Cheerleading is a sport that inspires you to be confident and I’m sure you need a lot of stamina for all the routines. It keeps you fit and there are so many benefits, both for your ‘inner self’ and ‘outer self’,” added Aliff.
