PRETTY much every Malaysian is an amateur food critic, but now, we’re giving one of them the chance to go pro.
The R.AGE Food Fight is a search for Malaysia’s next food celebrity, who will not only win RM10,000 in cold, hard cash, but also a food column in The Star and the chance to host a video series on R.AGE.
All you have to do to take part is send us a video of yourself preparing a dish or beverage incorporating our secret ingredient – palm oil – and mention at least one of the oil’s benefits.
Then write a blogpost to complement your video, and email both of them to alltherage@thestar.com.my.
The five best videos will be our finalists, and they’ll get to learn from the best – Chef Wan, Chef Rodolphe Onno from Le Cordon Bleu, Chef Darren Chin from DC Restaurant, performing artiste/restaurateur Tan Chung Liang and food blogger KY Speaks.
After that, they’ll put their new-found skills to the test in a live cooking demo, where the winner will be crowned the first ever R.AGE Food Fight champion.
The other finalists won’t go home empty handed, though. The first runner-up will take home RM3,000, the second runner-up RM1,000, and all five finalists will get additional workshops by Le Cordon Bleu.
