It’s a busy time for Magic: the Gathering fans – and it gets more exciting with Magic 2011 all set to debut in a matter of weeks!
Last year’s Magic 2010 marked the a break in Wizards of the Coast’s longstanding tradition of printing base, or “core” sets every two years. From last year onwards, a core set will be printed every year, with new cards being introduced as well.
All core (named thus, as they often serve as beginner expansion sets) sets prior to Magic 2010 (M10) comprised entirely of reprints from older Magic expansions (core or otherwise).
Wizards.com just started its previews yesterday – but bet you were checking out Mananation.com’s uber-updated spoiler page. Check them out if you haven’t already!
Before you get into all that, I’d like to suggest an excellent introduction into Magic 2011 (M11), in Wizards.com’s article “Core Samples” by Tim LaPille.
And finally, Wizards has all the official spoilers here – not as complete as Mananation.com’s, but official!
In the coming days, I’ll have more info on where you can be among the first to crack open some fresh, minty M11 packs!
Tell us what you think!
