Trust everyone had a fabulous weekend cracking packs and packs of Magic: the Gathering’s latest expansion set, Innistrad, in the various prerelease events. It will be available nationwide by this Friday.

In case you missed out, the expansion kicks off a new block that’s entirely horror-themed. Perfect for Halloween next month, as it’s got werewolves, vampires, zombies, geists (that’s German for ghosts) and of course, plenty of human types that would like to keep them away!

The new dual lands look like a perfect complement to the ones we already have from the Core Sets, being basically enemy duals that are identical in form to them.

There are plenty of cool Legend and creature cards that are plain awesome, for those intending to build Zombie decks or Vampire decks, or Geist decks, or – well, you get the picture.

I love Zombies, and it’s nice to see Wizards revisiting the Blue-Black combo for this favourite race of mine. Vampires see the addition of Red to its staple of Black, while the new Transform cards will change your Magic sessions forever.
