In a bid to help the younger generation become more aware of his policy proposals, US President Barack Obama sat down for an interview with three YouTube stars, where there were deep questions and awkward moments galore.
Each of the YouTubers had an opportunity to ask the questions that they had amassed through their followers, and the entire interview was livestreamed.
Hank Green, one half of the Vlog Brothers YouTube Channel (the other half is his brother, John Green, author of The Fault In Our Stars), asked questions related to legal marijuana and even drone strikes.
GloZell Green, most famous for her failed cinnamon challenge, among other hilarious videos, talked to Obama about police brutality, racial bias, and same-sex marriage. She also made a hilarious booboo when presenting green lipstick to Obama for his “first wife.”
“Do you know something I don’t?” asked the Prez. #Awkward
Last up was Bethany Mota, who, at 19, was the best candidate to ask about education-related questions. Her questions ranged from serious ones like how he plans to make college more affordable, to super fun ones like the ones in her lightning round.
Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
A: The flying thing seems pretty cool, right? Sorta zipping around. As long as you could stay warm.
