PETALING JAYA: Something special is in store for the participants and fans of CHEER 2014, Malaysia’s premier cheerleading competition.
The competition, to be held this weekend, will see songstress Datuk Siti Nurhaliza making an appearance during the finals on Sunday.
SimplySiti, Siti’s cosmetics line, is one of the co-sponsors for CHEER 2014, and Siti believes that the event is in line with her brand’s philosophy.
“We, at SimplySiti, are very proud to be part of this exciting event, particularly one that encourages teamwork and active living for youth,” said the award-winning singer.
Working with youth is something that is close to her heart, and she says youths will take the nation to greater heights.
“It is SimplySiti’s culture to cultivate creativity, especially for the new generation,” she said, adding that she could not wait to see the high-octane action on Sunday.
“I look forward to seeing the participants in action doing their stunts, tosses and flips during the finals! I’d like to wish them all the best,” said the businesswoman who is attending her inaugural CHEER event.
CHEER, the country’s annual inter-school cheerleading competition, will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year with 34 teams jockeying for honours.
Red FM deejays Jeremy Teo and Terry Ong will also be on hand to interact with supporters and give away prizes during the event at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
Admission is free.
CHEER 2014 is organised by R.AGE and co-sponsored by U Mobile and SimplySiti. Red FM is the official radio station.
