If you can sing and have always wanted to claim your spot in the limelight, then you’re exactly the person we need.

R.AGE and Follow Me Sence are looking for the next musical sensation and if you think you have what it takes to become a star, then Rising Star is definitely the competition for you.

International singer/songwriter and Follow Me Sence ambassador Yuna will be heading the Rising Star judging panel and the talented lass is excited to be part of this latest talent competition.

The recording artist is looking forward to inspiring undiscovered singers out there and believes that talent competitions such as Rising Star are important stepping stones for those looking to carve a name for themselves in the music industry.

“It opens doors for talented people,” she said.

Yuna believes originality is important if you want to make it in the industry.

“You have to believe in your craft, and originality is hard to come by. It would be great to see the talents in Rising Star believing in and being themselves.”

Rising Star is a singing competition for those between 13 to 30 years old and participants can choose to compete in two categories – Solo or Duet/Group/Band categories.

There are two ways to participate in this competition – online and via on-ground auditions at selected shopping malls in Penang, Malacca as well as Klang Valley.

Only 12 participants will be selected – based on judges’ and online votes – to enter the Rising Star grand finale in November.

Besides cash prizes and other awesome goodies, winners from each category will get the chance to record a cover of one of Yuna’s songs. The songs will then be aired on Red FM, the official radio station for Rising Star.
